Moving Tips

Make a list

Fargo  Moving has seen a whole lot of clients that have many many moving systems.  So we'll cut to the chase- lists work.  Make a list, and stick to it.  Live by it.  Promise- you'll be glad you did.

Have plenty of supplies

Look, we know you are going to need more then one roll of tape OK?  Fargo Moving has seen so many people just get the least amount of supplies and then run out- which causes more stress. While we do handle most of the supplies and work for you- you will want to make sure you've got your own well stocked supply stash.  Fargo moving has yet to see a homeowner not try to pack a few things.  Buy that tape, and the extra one too.

Utilize wardrobe boxes

Wardrobe boxes are good for not just clothes, but stuffed animals...shoes...blankets...and the list goes on.  Did you know, if you don't care about wrinkled clothes, you can just put a garbage bag around all the hung up clothes and call it good??  Yep! Fargo Moving will never make short cuts like that- but we do have a lot of tricks and suggestions we offer up if you're tryting to do the packing yourself!  It's just another way Fargo Moving is here for you.

Color coordinate

So this can go wtih the list thing.  Color coordiating makes everyting so much easier. Fargo Moving even uses it from time time if need be. It's easy- each room has a color sticker...and you keep the master copy with you at all times.  No need to write a novel on every moving box, and no need to buy a ton of sharpies.  You can thank Fargo Moving later, we like coffee and homemade cookies.

Paper Plates Please

Did you know that the best way to protect your porcelain or glass dishes in putting a paper plate between them when you stack them?  And coffee filters are perfect for cups!  Fargo Moving seriously understands moving a home or business, whether it's in the city or across the country.  If you're doing the packing yourself- feel free to call Fargo Moving for tips!  Or check out this tip page as we update it often.

Pizza and Casseroles

No really.  Fargo Moving has moved a lot of people.  The last thing on anyones mind is dinner.  Until it's too late and you're stomach is screaming at you.  Order that pizza, have friends bring by that casserole, or treat the kids to some Pizza Ranch on 45th.  Moving is stressful and hard work- it tends to make people hangry. Let us do the majority of the work, and you go out to eat.  Fargo Moving highly suggests the Cowboy Pizza and a sweet tea.
